Beyond the Screen

Painting and photography help me see systems differently—refining my sense of composition, contrast, and emotional tone, which directly informs my UI and visual design work.

Fine Art

When I’m not on a screen, I explore ideas through painting. Playful, hands-on work that keeps my creative instincts sharp and curious.

Photography

Photography is where I slow things down, using off camera flash to shape light, mood, and moments that feel intentional, cinematic, and a little unexpected.

Fine Art

This is where I step away from the computer and spend time creating with my hands. This is a collection of some of my oil and acrylic on canvas paintings where I play with color, texture, light, and composition in a slower, analog way. Working outside the digital space helps sharpen my eye and keeps my creativity muscles pumping and strenghens my storytelling visually.

Photography

My photography centers on headshots and portraits, using off camera flash to stay in control of the light instead of leaving it to chance. I like the challenge of trying to figure out how to shoot in mid day with strong overhead sun and still produce a good shot with powerful lighting to blow out shadows. I like keeping sessions relaxed and straightforward, focusing on making people feel comfortable while shaping clean, flattering light on my subjects. I also enjoy getting to know the people I’m working with.
